From Sharp Magazine:
The only thing this actor loves more than fantasy novels is dragons (and whooping gladiator butt). Aren't nerds the best? The first in our web series on the beautiful women of "Spartacus: Vengeance."
If the sword-and-sandal genre is traditionally dominated by male stars (and please, don't bring up Channing Tatum's 2011 flop, The Eagle, around these parts) count Starz's TV series, Spartacus, as an exception. The series, now in its third season, has quietly assembled a veritable phalanx of international hotties, like blonde bombshell Aussie Viva Bianca and the sultry, doe-eyed Lesley-Ann Brandt. But our current fixation? Exotic 26-year-old Katrina Law, who plays a slave by the name of "Mira." It ain't hard to justify our obsession—you needn't look further than her pictures. But in case you're a tougher sell, click through for four reasons we love the Law.
SHE'S RUTHLESSLY SELF-AWARE
"I still find it weird when I watch playback," says Law. "I have this weird, oblong alien face! I have to get over myself to even look at my work." Fortunately, that isn't a problem for us. And, thanks to her exotic beauty—something she attributes to her mixed Taiwanese, Italian and German heritage—we suspect it isn't a problem for most men, either. But surprisingly, that's not the case. "Actually, men never approach me!" she says. We don't believe her. "Mostly, it's women, who always point to [my facial features]. And that's happening less than it used to—people are getting used to seeing ethnic people on television."
